Guys,
Don't make timed demos for these types of games please. Limit number of battles or create some other type of threshold. I reckon its even acceptable to disable certain type of functionality. I agree its not the best option, but lets face it, a timeout doesn't properly help in experimenting with game feautures either. Especially for games as complex as this one. It's really hard to evaluate a game this complex with such a restrictive timeout. What was it? One hour?
I couldn't really check on the quality of the game AI, didn't have a chance to experiment with magic, or other options the game had to offer. I didn't even have a chance to finish my first battle and try and train my team.
The only mistake I had to make was leave it open and eat dinner when wife called. I know, I know, I shouldn't... but do you think I had any pleasure in forgetting this was a timed demo?
I couldn't really evaluate the game in any meaningful way. Don't take me wrong. I'm not asking for anything, just suggesting that perhaps a demo version that doesn't allow one to go past a certain point or disables some key features or items after a certain time (there's an idea for a different timeout method!) will serve you and us gamers better.

Yep, it was a mistake to not monitor active time in the demo. On the next patched demo it will monitor the active time so if you're away from the computer, that won't use your evaluation time.
Until then, you can always just buy the game, evaluate it and then ask for a refund if you don't like it. I have given refunds for this reason in the past for all of the few who asked. |

Thanks for the reply Tertsi.
I'm not sure how easy it will be for you to monitor active time. But sure that would help.
I will take into consideration your suggestion. Not this month though as my CC can't handle any more transactions for the rest of the month. The little I saw from the game made me curious and I got the impression I would like it.
Cheers,
